Every one handmade and unique.

I have been a Phantom of the Opera fan since 1992 and creating Phantom art from clay and cloth ever since.

I would like to take a moment to sincerely thank all the fellow Phantom fans who have collected my work over the years as well as those who've dropped by just to have a look. Cheers everyone!

This new Phantom boat scene pendant necklace is completely handmade from a ball of clay and the only one in existance.
The medallion is approx. 2 3/4 inches high, secured on a wire loop enbedded in the clay and light to wear.

Below are some pictures explaining details of how it was made.

Sketching the Phantom Boat Scene Pendant and starting the clay.

First a rough sketch is drawn of the Phantom luring Christine in the boat across the underground lake to his lair.
It starts with a measured ball of polymer clay that is flattened out on a sheet of glass which can be fired. This is the base I will build upon. More and more clay and detail will be added. On the glass the piece stays flat.
(tape removed before firing).

The back where a strip of paper can be glued for an autograph. Phantom Boat Scene Pendant.

This is the back side. It's blank, other than the date and signature at the bottom. The white paper is there for demonstration only. You can to glue on a strip of paper for your favorite Phantom's autograph.

Modelling the Phantom boat pendant and detailing with tools before finishing and firing.

Modelling and detailing with tools before finishing up and firing on the glass plate. Christine still needs a face, hair and tiny arms and hands.
The sturdy gold wire for hanging is looped and securely embedded in the clay prior to firing.

A gold ring is attached to the loop at the top and hung on a black cord. The cord can be removed and a chain or whatever can be used instead.
