VINTAGE PHANTOM & MICHAEL CRAWFORD (Keepsakes & Spare Parts) MEMORABILIA FOR SALE

Erik1

Phantom, Michael Crawford Memorabilia sale coming soon~

(Temp copy)

30+ years of Phantom and Michael Crawford-related memorabilia looking for homes.

Treasures include my handmade POTO dolls and miniature figurines (2 are on this site), plus a hodgepodge of Phantom art odds and ends, signed MC items, EFX, MCIFA, and much more.

The vintage items have been in a storage unit for the 22 years that I have lived in the UK.

In 2014, I went back to Arizona, where the unit was at the time, and photographed every Phantom and Michael Crawford item in it.

Now, I’m preparing a memorabilia page on this website with those photos and information, and will add new items when I can.

I'll put the word out when it's ready. Everything must go. I hope you’ll come take a look.

Please email me with any questions. leighx@yahoo.com
See you soon.

ERIK DOLL 1

The Only One.

Handmade original Phantom of the Opera Doll.

ERIK 1 was created in the early 90s. He is my first Phantom doll and favorite because I was new to the POTO universe and totally swept up in the magic. As with all my Phantom scultptures, he is patterned after Michael Crawford, the original and true Phantom.
Although he is special to me, he needs a home with someone who will display him proudly as I am unable to do.
Erik1 comes with handsewn suit with tails, brocade black velvet vest with red effects, buttons, white shirt with pearl buttons, white collar, rhinestone cufflinks. Black pants, shoes. Removable mask.
(I might have cape and skull staff. Checking).
Approx. 17 inches.
I have his left am, signed by Michael, and will send it to the new owner.

Erik 2.

The Only One.

Handmade original Phantom of the Opera Doll

Here is another original, one of a kind Erik Phantom. I don't remember why I didn't finish him. There was a crack in his hand, but it has been repaired.
Handsewn clothes, tux tails, brocade black velvet vest with buttons, white shirt with pearl buttons, collar, red rhinestone cufflinks. Black pants, shoes. (I think I had planned to have him hold Christine's veil in one hand, and a necklace in the other).
No mask, cape or staff.
18 inches.

Red Death Phantom

The Only One.

Handmade original Phantom of the Opera Red Death Doll

The eyes of this Red Death Phantom are wired to light up using a 9 volt battery. In working order and very mysterious. He wears a red velvet suit with metal belt and other vintage trappings. His flowing cape is red velvet as is his hat with red feathers. Yellow-gold silk cord and tassles hang from the cape. Black hood with sequins surround his skull head. Red leggings and shoes with gold buckles. Staff with mask.

18 inches.

ODD POTO DOLL PARTS
Two Erik Phantom of the Opera Dolls2 heads available. Erik Head in a Box & Erik Smiling Head.

For one reason or another I chose not to use these heads. But I rather liked them and couldn't throw them away. The Erik Head in the Box has a removable mask and a felt hat. The box he's glued into is painted and glazed. Each side panel features a scene from the Phantom of the Opera.
(Don't expect a beautiful box. I just made things from what I had lying around).

The Erik Smiling Head I really liked, but wasn't sure if the Phantom should be smiling. Now I think I should have used him. I like his face. Someone could make him a body or put him in a box!

Here we have two MASQUERADE Dolls. Each 18 inches tall.

The MAN/WOMAN doll you will remember from the Masquerade scene. One half woman, the other a man.

The Peacock Woman doll is one I imagined being in the Masquerade scene. They both fit, in my opinion. Let me know what you think.

PHANTOM FIGURINES

Phantom Figurines

In the 90s, I produced many figurine characters relating to the Phantom of the Opera. Though I sold most of them, I kept a few that you will see below.

This Erik, "Come to Me Angel", is the first 6 inch figurine I made. I was lucky that Michael Crawford signed him at Radio City Music Hall in 1992, during the ALW Tour. A true treasure!

Christine in her wedding dress. She's a bit tatty because I used her as a model master for a mold so I could produce more of her and another Erik. I only cast one resin copy of each, which you'll see down below.

Erik Head in a Box

This is the original Christine figure. As you can see, clay has been added in various places to reduce undercuts in the mold process. It can proabably be picked out and the piece retouched with paint.
Approx. 5 inches. 1992

RESIN PHANTOM FIGURINES

Scene from 'Music of the Night'

Remember the Christine figurine from above? Here is the resin copy I made of her from a rubber mold. I sculpted Erik from scratch due to arms that had to be cast separately. The parts are somewhere in storage, but I'm not there to assemble and paint him.
These were meant to be candlesticks and I even tried lighting a candle. You can see how well that went by the melted top of Erik's holder. Sometimes I think I work too much. :-/

This is the only copy of the pair because the process nearly took as much work as sculpting from scratch.

Created 1994

MISCELLANEOUS PHANTOM OF THE OPERA COLLECTIBLES

Here are two boxes I made to hold small POTO and MC paraphernalia. The left has pictures from POTO on all sides and jewelry permanantly fixed with an all over resin finish. The one on the right has dried leavs and rosebuds and a handsculpted white mask. They may still have small surprises in them.

Without being there to measure, I don't know exact size of each box, but the left is larger. I'd guess 9 inches. The other maybe 6-7 inches. Boxes have dings and scratches. As-is.
